Went to Seattle Friday night to babysit. Busy night as Alyia (16 months old) was fussy and kept waking up. I was DELIGHTED when Mom and Dad came home and took over. Whew! Saturday it wasn’t raining and we drove to Discovery Park. Quite a fabulous park. We hadn’t been there before, although the kids have. This park has some very special views of the islands and the waters surrounding them. There are paths and trails going every which way – lots of bikers, dogs and dog walkers, runners, etc. We walked down to the beach – stopping half way as we needed to save energy for Aidan (4 1/2 yrs) to return. He’s way too big to carry!
This park is a place we will need to return to. I bet the views are specatulor on a clear day. Saturday it was overcast and the mountains weren’t totally visable.
